The M870 is a legendary shotgun that has been favored by law enforcement, the military, and civilian shooters around the world due to the ruggedness and reliability of this multi-purpose shotgun series. The M870 is probably the most produced shotgun as there were over 11 million copies produced since its introduction in the 1950s.
The APS CAM870 series of airsoft shotguns are one of the most fun and realistic pump-action shotguns available. As one of the pioneers of a practical shell-ejecting airsoft shotgun, this particular version is the classic police-style version.
The shotgun is exceptionally well-built and feels solid in hand. There's a rough and robust feel to the gun as the gun is of metal construction and has solid polymer furniture. Although this shotgun is of an older styling without the modularity of the newer shotguns that APS has to offer, it was a copy of the shotguns used and loved by beat cops of a bygone era across the world when simplicity was preferred over modularity.
The shotgun runs off of the same CAM870 MKIII system which means it will use the same shells as that platform and can work with many of the same accessories. Co2 is charged directly into each shell, shells are to be bought separately.
I am impressed every time I order.
Delivery is fast too

Some feedback after a month
After having it for a month I can say my opinion about this shotgun is sort of mixed.
For its price (including shipping) I was sort of expecting a better quality and manufacturing :
- The frequent jams are irritating, the carrier doesn't lift the shells high enough to feed reliably and it cause frequent jam. Cycle too slow and you'll jam, cycle too fast and you'll jam. You need to sand off a sear so that the carrier lift higher (Sorry I do not remember its name in english)
- When loading the shells a lot, they will start to get damaged because of the extractor. This itself isn't a problem, but what will be is that they will gradually become harder and harder to load and will frequently get stuck to the point you have to brute-force the shell into the magazine tube with your finger before starting to load again. This is caused by a ring thing around the entrance of the magazine tube (that I have honnestly no idea what it's doing here) that is catching the outer layer of the shell and preventing it from going forward. The fix is easy : get sandpaper and sand off material until it's smoother and shell slides past without any troubles.
- The firing pin is.... eh?? It broke after a month and i'll get a replacement bolt (won't change the pin itself because it's a pain in the a** tbh) so if I can say something about that it's : DO NOT DRY FIRE THE REPLICA! Even with an empty shell chambered it will still apparently damage it substentially to the point mine snapped cleanly in half
These are my main concern, overall :
+ The replica is really realistic, which is why i've bought it in the first place
+ It's really fun to operate and in CQB it's a beast
+ You can make "Birdshot" shells, "Buckshot" shells, and "Slug" shells (But please dont try slug shells i beg u)
- For the price you're paying, the quality is meh
- Only buy this if you have excess money to be honest, because the shells themselves are 180 bucks and if you decide to buy wads, that's additional money (you can craft wads with paper btw). For me, i'm already around 900 bucks invested with shipping included.
- The manufacturing really feels "Made in China". It requires lots of effort and sanding to make it into a reliably functionning replica that is suitable for use in game. Even if you decide to fire it in your garden or something, the jamming will irritate you, I KNOW IT
If you need additional infos, check out the "APS Airsoft CAM870 MkIII Complete Guide & Review" on YouTube (By Explosive Enterprises), they cover a lot of known issue and a more thorough review than mine.
Hope y'all have a good one!
