7 Best Airsoft Revolvers | 2025 Ultimate Guide
Airsoft revolvers are one of the most interesting type of airsoft guns, and appeal to a special group of players who admire the beautiful lines of a six shooter. Airsoft revolvers are generally highly realistic replicas of a real revolver, and are constructed from plastic or metal. Most revolvers, with the exception of the classic Single Action Army S.A.A., have cylinders that can swing out for reloads. Some are single action while others are double action, with both modern and classic models widely represented. While airsoft revolvers are available in gas, CO2 and spring models, we have deliberately chosen not to include airsoft revolver spring models since they struggle to deliver usable power for gaming purposes.
HOW WE CHOSE THE BEST AIRSOFT REVOLVERS
There are a number of important factors we considered when compiling our list of Best Airsoft Revolvers, these include:
FUN FACTOR – Airsoft is a hobby so airsoft guns must be able to generate joy. We look at recoil, sound, design, optional accessories, and overall awesomeness that make the gun interesting. Non-shooting models can also be fun, like a beautiful revolver with realistic ammo that you can load into a rotating cylinder. We rate each of our picks on how much pleasure you can derive from ownership.
REALISM – What makes Airsoft guns attractive for so many is that they replicate real guns. While many manufacturers try their best to recreate the details and feel of a real gun, some succeed while others fail horribly and end up with something more akin to a toy. We rate how real each of our top picks feels and looks.
PERFORMANCE – Power measured in feet-per-second (FPS), range and accuracy are the key metrics we use to determine the best airsoft gun. From there, we also prioritize airsoft guns with an adjustable hop-up and high-quality buckings to ensure that they give the consistency and accuracy you need. All FPS ratings are universally based on 0.2 gram BBs.
BUILD QUALITY – We look for good quality construction, materials and refinement not only in the external components but also internally. The fit tolerances, discernable wobbles and rattles, smoothness of operation, durability of components, etc are all considered.
VALUE – Affordable airsoft guns that rank highly in all the above categories are prioritized over more expensive airsoft guns that offer the same, as "bang for your buck" is an important consideration for most airsoft players. These criteria rates if you are getting more for your money compared to similar guns in the same class, meaning is it a good deal. For more information on how to determine the value of an airsoft gun, check out this article on what goes into the cost of an airsoft gun.
COLLECTABILITY – Sometimes an Airsoft gun stands out simply because it is unique either because it’s not produced by anyone else or holds enough of a cultural or collectable value to make you want to have a piece of history regardless of its utility. This criteria in particular rates whether the gun is a must-have for collectors. Some rare or limited edition Airsoft guns even appreciate in value in the secondary market and we rate their investment value where applicable.
Best Airsoft Revolvers
ARES S&W 686 CO2 Revolver
The action of the ARES S&W 686 CO2 airsoft revolver is very smooth, mimicking the real steel one quite nicely, the double action trigger just rolls when you apply pressure on the trigger with the single action being crisp. Finally, and we know, it isn't that important, but the sounds this airsoft revolver makes are very beautiful, this revolver is not made of steel, but the sounds it makes while spinning the wheel and just dry firing without CO2, it's just very ASMR worthy, which is incredible for a CO2 airsoft revolver, and when its gassed, it shoots with a really loud "BANG", which is definitely louder than most airsoft pistols and even most airsoft rifles. The ARES S&W 686 has a TDC style hop and can be adjusted with an Allen key, this greatly increases the hit probability, gone are the days of closing the distance on your airsoft foes (Unless you go for the snub nose, then you still probably have to). This advantage outshines most revolvers in the market, so if you join a revolver-only game with this, you know you have range and accuracy on your side!
Pros
- Realistic full metal construction
- Adjustable hopup
- Ultra realistic firing and reloading action
- Affordable
Cons

BO Manufacture Chiappa Rhino .357 Magnum Style Airsoft Revolver
The Chiappa Rhino has been a revolver that has been turning heads since it came on the scene. With its unique design which includes lowering the barrel of the pistol, the Rhino offers one of the most interesting shooting experiences. Traditional revolvers are considered to have a rather high bore axis due to how the barrel sits in relation to the cylinder, with the Rhino, this is inverted. Instead of having the barrel sit in the traditional position and having a round fire from the "top side" the Rhino fires from the bottom. This change in design makes the Rhino sit much lower in your hand and doesn't experience as much "height over bore" issues as other traditional revolvers. It also helps with recoil mitigation as the barrel sits much lower, making the transfer of rearward force straight back into the arm of the shooter.
The airsoft version is a faithful replica of the real steel firearm and features a full metal frame, faux wood plastic grips, and corresponding markings. The ergonomics of the revolver is extremely similar to the real one and its finish is well done. Being a Co2 pistol you will be able to operate the pistol in a variety of environments and it will offer consistent FPS as well as shooting experiences.

- Realistic full metal construction
- Ultra realistic firing and reloading action
- Accessory rails
- Highly unique design

You'll find it on the upper part of the frame, half way down the gun. All you need to do is a use a hex key to adjust it. The strange looking Mateba can be found in a anime series called Ghost In Shell. It's one of those pistols that looks unique and different from the others which is why it is so well known, making it a perfect anime prop gun! To all the cosplayers that love the Ghost In Shell series, you will absolutely LOVE the Marushin Mateba revolver. The Mateba is a very solid revolver made of a heavyweight plastic giving it a bit of heft.

The Airsoft Surgeon Revolvers are a beastly and mighty strong new kind of revolver in today's market. Tokyo Marui Python 357 Spring Revolvers
Seeing the beauty in a finely built revolver takes a certain vintage of Airsoft player to appreciate. Tokyo Marui goes back to its roots when it comes to springer pistols but this particular version also comes with 6 shells so air flow is always consistent. Finishing of the gun is superb and looks convincingly real even when observed from up close. Of course the 6mm inner barrel still gives it away that this is an Airsoft gun. Pull open the cylinder release switch, apply pressure on the cylinder from the opposite side, and the cylinder falls right out. You load the BB's from the front of the cylinder and push 1 BBs into each of the shell chambers.
From the rear, dummy shell casings marked with 357 engravings still give you a realistic view. The cylinder spins smoothly and can be snapped back into the frame with a flick of your wrist with a solid click - perfect for those Russian roulette games with your friends! The Tokyo Marui Python functions similar to the real deal except that you could not fire the gun in double action and that there is a manual safety on the left side of the trigger, however, pulling the trigger without cocking would still spin the cylinder.
Pros
- Accurate dimensions
- Easy to use spring action
- Ideal for younger players
Cons
- Polymer construction
- Low range
