The Desert Night camo pattern was used during the Gulf War designed to help with concealment against Soviet-based night vision devices. Though it's now considered obsolete due to the advances in foreign night vision capabilities, its two-colored grid pattern is still considered a great camo option for training. The camo pattern is comprised of cross thatches and blotches. This is supposed to break up the wearer's body shape, making it harder to see the wearer during day or night.
