Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 GBB Airsoft Pistol (VFC G17 Gen 5)

Fully licensed by Umarex/Elite Force and Glock, the Glock 17 Gen 5 (also known as the G17 Gen5) airsoft pistol is an affordable training tool and faithful replica of its real-steel namesake. 

Featuring a metal slide, ambidextrous slide release, and licensed Glock markings (minus the CAL. 6 mm markings found on European models), this new Glock comes with a 23-round green gas magazine capacity. Note that this particular model only accepts Umarex/VFC Glock gas magazines. 

On the airsoft field, the Glock 17 Gen 5 airsoft pistol delivers a crisp, fast firing cycle. The internal components — courtesy of VFC — include an adjustable hop-up with the patented Guide Hop, an incredible recoil impulse, and extreme efficiency. This airsoft Glock pistol also works with a slew of factory and aftermarket Glock parts (in the airsoft and real-steel worlds), so you can attach flashlights or purchase a holster to use this as a dependable side-arm if you run an airsoft sniper rifle. 

Glock revealed the fifth generation (Gen 5) of its iconic real-steel semi-auto pistol in late 2017. Revisions to the previous models — for which the Gen 5 parts are not backward compatible — include advanced ergonomics and improved reliability. 

The Glock 17 and 19, chambered in 9x19 Parabellum, feature several upgrades, from the ambidextrous slide-stop levers and revised polygonal rifling to the removal of the finger grooves on the pistol grip. 

Gen 5 magazines also received a makeover, with orange-colored magazine followers assisting users in achieving quick visual identification. Redesigned floor plates also incorporate different geometry for better grip during manual extraction. This Glock also has a flared mag-well to assist in quick reloads. 

Many real-steel gun owners, professional shooters, and law enforcement choose Glock because it offers several advantages. The handgun’s backstraps are often interchangeable, the Glock Marksman barrel is well-known for accuracy, and the barrel and slide feature the brand’s NDLC finish. Glock’s Safe Action System, polymer construction, and reversible magazine catch are also popular among gun owners.
